These transport covers are made from a special cloth that is particularly produced for us - that‘s why colour variations are possible. The quilt material is blue cotton, a 1cm thick felt lining and a white molleton backing which has a great resistence. The cover weight for a big harpsichord is about 4 kg.
The settings of the covers were bordered with blue ribbon, so that there are no fringes.The cover laterals have loops so that it can be closed tightly at the bottom.
A suitable rope is supplied. In addition to that there are fixed six carrying straps so that the instrument can be carried either horizantally or vertically by two or more persons.
For the production we need a 1:1 sketch of your instrument. For this purpose put a piece of packing paper onto the harpsichord and pass a felt-tip pen along the borders of the lid. Please note also the height and possible slopes of the case.
Should you wish a stronger protection against water it is possible to treat the cover with an impregnation spray. You can buy this for example in a sports shop.
